How to convert a video to MP3

Add your video

Drop an MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV or AVI file into the tool, or click to browse. The file is read on your device and never uploaded.

Pick the audio format

Choose MP3, M4A or WAV and set the bitrate. MP3 at 192 kbps is a safe default for music and speech.

Extract and download

Click Extract audio, check the duration and file size, listen to the preview, then download the audio.

Why use Aihangsoft Video to MP3

Three audio formats

Save the soundtrack as MP3 for playback, M4A for small AAC files, or WAV when you need uncompressed audio for editing.

Your video stays on your device

FFmpeg runs inside the browser tab, so the clip is never uploaded, stored or queued on a server. Files never leave your device.

No limits, no watermark

No account, no daily cap and no audio branding added to the file. Convert as many videos as you need.

Built for sound, not pictures

Audio only extraction

The video stream is dropped during the encode, so the output holds one clean audio track. A long clip becomes a light file that is easy to send and store.

Use case: music, lectures, interviews

Bitrate under your control

Pick 128 kbps for spoken word, 192 kbps for everyday listening or 320 kbps when the soundtrack carries music you care about.

Use case: podcasts, voice notes, music rips

Lossless WAV export

WAV output decodes the original audio and stores it as uncompressed PCM, which is the right starting point for editing, mixing or re-encoding later.

Use case: video editing, audio restoration

Preview before you save

The finished audio plays straight in the result panel, together with the duration and the size of the source video and the output file.

Use case: checking a clip before sharing

Video to MP3 FAQ

Yes. The conversion runs inside your browser with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so your video never leaves your device. There is no sign-up, no file limit and no fee, and the extracted audio carries no watermark.
MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV and AVI all work, and most other containers that a browser can decode will pass through as well. The audio track is read from the file and re-encoded to the format you pick.
No. The audio track is written on its own and the video stream is dropped, so a 200 MB clip can become a few megabytes of MP3. The picture is not stored anywhere in the output file.
192 kbps is a good balance for music and general listening, 128 kbps keeps files small for speech and podcasts, and 320 kbps gives the closest match to the original soundtrack. WAV output ignores the bitrate setting because it is uncompressed.
WAV stores uncompressed PCM samples, so nothing is thrown away, but the file is roughly ten times larger than the same audio as MP3. Use WAV when you plan to edit or re-encode the audio later, and MP3 for everyday playback.
A few minutes of video converts in well under a minute on a modern laptop. The first run also downloads the FFmpeg engine (about 30 MB), and after that the tool works offline. Progress is shown live.
