Audio Pitch and Speed Changer

Change how fast a track plays and how high it sounds, as two separate controls or one linked pair. Slow down or speed up from 0.5x to 2x, shift the pitch by up to an octave in either direction, then export a new file. Everything runs in your browser, so your audio never leaves your device.

How to change audio pitch and speed

Add your audio

Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file into the tool. It is decoded on your device and never uploaded.

Set the speed and pitch

Move the speed slider between 0.5x and 2x and the pitch slider between -12 and +12 semitones, or turn on Link pitch to speed to move both together.

Download the result

Pick MP3 or WAV, click Change audio, then download the new file. The original track stays untouched.

Why use Aihangsoft Audio Pitch and Speed Changer

Change speed without chipmunk voices

The tempo filter stretches time instead of resampling it, so 0.5x and 2x keep the original pitch and voices stay natural.

Shift the pitch on its own

Move the key up or down by up to an octave without touching the tempo, so a track keeps its running time while the pitch changes.

100% private

Decoding, shifting and encoding all happen inside the browser tab. Files never leave your device. No upload, no account, no watermark.

Pitch and speed controls in detail

Slow down or speed up from 0.5x to 2x

The speed slider retimes the track in steps of 0.05x, so you can halve it for a practice loop or double it for a quick review. Voices keep their pitch at every setting, because the tempo filter only changes timing.

Use case: practice tracks, dance remixes, podcast edits

Pitch shift up to an octave either way

Move the key by anything from -12 to +12 semitones. The audio is resampled and then restored to its original sample rate, so the length does not change and the shift stays clean at moderate settings.

Use case: karaoke keys, voice characters, sampled hooks

Link the two like a tape deck

Turn on Link pitch to speed and the pitch follows the tempo, exactly as a tape does when you change its play speed. At 0.5x the pitch drops about an octave, at 2x it rises about an octave.

Use case: nightcore, slowed and reverb edits

Export to MP3 or WAV

Save the changed track as MP3 with the LAME encoder for sharing, or as uncompressed 16-bit WAV when the file goes back into an editor and will be processed again.

Use case: sharing, editing, archiving

Audio pitch and speed FAQ

No. Speed and pitch are independent by default. The speed control changes tempo only, so voices keep their natural tone at 0.5x and 2x alike. Link pitch to speed only if you actually want the tape deck effect where the pitch rises and falls with the tempo.
No. The pitch shift resamples the audio and then restores the original sample rate, so the track keeps its running time. A shift of 12 semitones up or down moves the key by an octave and leaves the length exactly as it was.
No. The speed slider covers 0.5x to 2x and the pitch slider covers minus 12 to plus 12 semitones. Pushing past those ranges introduces audible artefacts and heavy distortion, so the tool keeps both controls inside the range where the result still sounds clean.
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC files can be opened, as long as your browser can decode them. The tool reads the sample rate through the Web Audio API before it encodes, so a file the browser cannot decode, such as some FLAC or AMR variants, has to be converted to MP3 or WAV first.
Never. The FFmpeg engine runs inside your browser through WebAssembly, so the audio never leaves your device. There is no upload, no server, no queue and no account, and the exported file carries no watermark.
